PLAYCard Games We Love: Fun Without A Phone!

Hey guys! Card games are awesome: they’re fun, some never get old, and they’re pocket size! They’re perfect to take away when you go away with mates, and not just because of their size. They can be really good for connecting with others. There’s nothing funnier than getting competitive in a game of UNO. Which brings me to my first point.

UNO

Everyone’s favourite classic, alongside Monopoly (but that’s for another article). Being the first to scream “UNO!” is one of the most satisfying feelings ever. Forget ASMR. This game is really good because it barely takes up any space. You only need space for 2 piles, and everyone can hold their set of 7. It’s a great way to break the ice with new people, and awesome for bringing you and your mates together.

Cards Against Humanity

This one never gets old, unless you play it too much in a short period of time. There’s never-ending combos to make, and you learn a lot about your friends. Like who you share a sense of humour with! Like me and my friend Ellie. My group of friends took this camping for a week and we literally played every night. It’s so good for when you’re knackered and just want to kick back and have a laugh. Only thing is, organising the cards can be a nightmare. And collecting people’s cards every round can be a pain too. But once you’ve got it going, it’s totally worth it. Love this game.

Spit/Speed

This is one of the easiest games you can play with a regular deck. So all your mates can play. However, it’s a 2 player game, so unless you bring more than one deck, it could get quite boring for more than 2 people. But forget that for a min, it’s such a fun game and you feel like a real boss when you win. It keeps you on your feet, and takes up a little more room than the other 2 games, because you need quite a few piles.

Cheat/BS/I doubt it

This one teaches you a lot about your mates! Cheat is very easy to understand and doesn’t take up a lot of room. And if you’re over 18, you can incorporate a drinking game. Absolute classic, and great for any occasion.

Have you played these games before do you like/not like them?
