Never been to a festival before? Check out our tips for surviving the experience!

Childish Gambino

Childish Gambino

If you haven’t heard his smash hit ‘This Is America’ or his chart-topping single ‘Redbone’ where have you been!? The musician, DJ, actor and comedian hails from the US and has added a few sideshows to his gig at Splendour if you didn’t manage to get tickets in time. He hits the stage on Saturday so head down and check him out!

Hayden James

Hayden James

It’s always good to see a home-grown Aussie act dominate the Splendour stage, and Hayden James is set to do just that. The Sydney song-writer and producer has had plenty of air time with his tracks ‘Something About You’ and ‘Just Friends’. He also has as a heap of other fresh tracks that will give your festival Friday all the feel-good vibes.

Courtney Barnett

Courtney Barnett

She’s the queen of indie rock and has countless nominations under her belt. However, it’s the release of her latest single ‘Everybody Here Hates You’ that will make Courtney unmissable at this year’s festival. Now based in Melbourne, we can’t wait for her to release more music and who knows – those at Splendour could be the first to get a sneak peek!

Kian

Kian

We couldn’t get his breakout hit ‘Waiting’ out of our heads when it soared to the top of the Triple J Unearthed charts, so we can’t wait to hear it live across the North Byron Parklands. His new track ‘Childism’ is another one of our faves. Add Kianto the top of your must-see list – this boy is going places!

The Rubens

Rounding out our list are five guys from south-west Sydney who blew us away with smash hits like ‘Hoops’ and ‘My Gun’. The Rubens are returning to Splendour with a third album to share and their signature rock sound. We can pretty much guarantee that they’ll have the crowd on their feet from the very first track.
