5 Super-Easy Summer Brekky's

Start your summer off right with one of these super-easy and super-delish brekky recipes!

Starting your summer’s day in a good way is super important, so why not try some of these super-easy and super-delicious summer-time breakfasts.

Furthermore, these recipes allow for some creative freedom!

1. Yoghurt, Toasted Muesli and Fruit in a Glass

For this recipe, all you will need is some yoghurt granola or toasted muesli and some fruit! This recipe is light, healthy and filling, so it is perfect for a summer-day breakfast before you head off to the beach or out with friends.

What is also so awesome about it, is that you can pick and choose what kind of ingredients you want to include. You can have Greek, vanilla, peach or mixed berry yoghurt. And, you can choose what kind of muesli you want; apple, berry, almond or cinnamon, then you can choose your favourite fruit to go on top! Peach, Mango, Apple, Strawberry’s or watermelon!

Just layer them on top of each other, yoghurt first, then your muesli and then the fruit!

And Voilà! A perfect yoghurt, toasted muesli and fruit breakfast!

2. Aloha Pineapple Smoothy

This smoothy will take you straight to a summer’s day in Hawaii! It is the perfect blend of healthy, easy and tasty.

All you need is:

Fresh fruit: 

1/2 a Banana and 1/2 cup of strawberries
1/2 cup Pineapple, fresh

Dairy:

1/2 cup Vanilla Greek yoghurt

Frozen:

1 cup Ice

Blend it up and there you go! An easy summer-time breakfast!

3. Egg and Avo Bowel


Everyone these days is talking about acai bowls, but let’s be real here; HOW MANY OF US SERIOUSLY HAVE THE TIME TO MAKE that EVERY MORNING?!?

So, let’s talk about the egg and avo bowel.

The egg and avo bowel is a super-easy and super-health summer breakfast is an awesome base to your own summer-time creation.

Once you have the two basic elements down-pat, you can add whatever takes your fancy on top! Maybe try frying some bacon or spinach, maybe even roast some brekky potatoes!

4. Bruschetta; Crispy Sourdough with Diced Tomatoes and Basil


Yes, I know, I know, this is an Italian entrée that you get out at a restaurant…but have you ever eaten it in the morning?

Trust me, it is the freshest way to start your day.

All you need is some diced tomatoes, mixed with chopped basil, olive oil and salt. Then, toast some thick sourdough bread until golden-brown and then spoon the tomato mix on top. If you are game, drizzle some balsamic vinegar over the top.

The hot and cold contrast of this dish is a relief on a hot summers day, making this the perfect summer-time breakfast!

5. Berry Refreshing Salad

This meal is to-die-for! It is refreshing and delicious, not to mention super easy!

All you need is some;

Blackberries, blueberries, cherries (You can buy them pitted and halved), raspberries, strawberries and if you are feeling super funky, some watermelon.

Chop ’em up and put them in a brekky bowel. Finish with a drizzle of lime juice and some honey! If it is super hot, sometimes I put my fruit salad’s in the fridge to get them super cold before meal time.
